1. Horse riding...a childhood dream

I first started horse riding when i was 7 but stopped at the age of 10 due the riding school i went to closing down due to a rise in insurance premiums. Although i longed to ride again, through fear of being ‘too old’ and ‘not good enough’ i was too afraid to try so apart from going on a few hacks whilst on holidays i was not to get back in the saddle until the age of 27 where from somewhere i mastered up the courage to visit someone advertising a ‘horse share’. Having not ridden for so long i was needless to say more than a little rusty so was more than a little surprised when the owner of the horse (and livery yard) who had 30 years experience agreed to let me ride the horse 3 times a week. At the time, i was more than a little naive, having only ever ridden riding school ponies i had no idea what i was doing... Had the owner seen some potential in me? Was this perhaps the reason why she said yes? At the time perhaps through wanting to believe it was i thought perhaps she had but as time went on... i realized she hadn’t, she'd simply seen me as a pound sign, for this horse wasn’t the kind of horse you could loan out easily and was definitely not the kind of horse you could sell easily - although it was to someone who loved animals and didn’t have a clue about horses temperaments and behaviour. This website is made up of everything i’ve learnt since agreeing to at first ride and then buy this horse it covers our journey on both a personal level and emotional level...I have included some of my most inspiring videos and also our own videos. I hope you enjoy it as much as i have enjoyed making it.
